Find a sweet gum leaf at the little park next door. It has simple and alternate leaves.
Find a honest locust tree at the little park next door. It has compound and alternate leaves.
Lobes are like ear lobes. They are defined regions of a leaf. Think maple leaves. Sweet gum leaves have 5 lobes that are pointy.
Margins are the outside edges of a leaf.
The universe has patterns, and leaves have patterns! Observe, study, draw, and share patterns to explore how the universe works.
The ride pushes on the pedals, connected to the cranks, which rotate the chainring along the axis of the bottom bracket. The teeth on the chainring move the chain connected the teeth on the rear cog (or cassette). The cog rotates the rear wheel along the axis of the axel.
